Tuition & Financial Aid at the Mountain School

Tuition & Expenses

Mountain School's 2024-25 Tuition is $38,000  per semester plus an activities fee of $500.

If applying from a private school, students should check with their home school to be certain that tuition will be prorated.

We require that our students be covered by health insurance.

Finally, we require a non-refundable deposit upon acceptance of your spot.

Need-Based Scholarships

We are "need-blind" in our admissions process, which means we don’t look at whether or not you need financial aid when considering your application to the Mountain School.

Once we have reviewed applications and made admissions decisions, we use the information submitted on the SSS portal to assess your family’s financial need. We do our best to meet 100% of demonstrated financial need.

We do not offer merit-based scholarships, since all students who come to the Mountain School are academically motivated. Instead, we offer financial aid based on a family’s financial need. These are direct grants that do not need to be repaid.

Applying for a Need-Based Scholarship

1. Indicate that you are interested in a need-based scholarship when prompted on the Mountain School application.
