Attend a Presentation at Your School or Local Area
TMS visits 70–100 schools annually, depending on the number of invitations and the availability of alumni volunteers. To see if we’re coming to your school, email admissions@mountainschool.org or ask your dean/advisor.
If we haven't visited your school yet, we’d love to connect! Encourage your administrators to contact us, and we can plan a future visit. Our schedule of events is regularly updated. Many events are East Coast–centric, but we strive to include a variety of faculty and student presenters.

Who Comes to The Mountain School?
Students who come to The Mountain School share a deep curiosity and a desire to learn in meaningful, hands-on ways. They’re thinkers, makers, and idealists — students who ask questions, love learning, and want an education that connects to real life. Some arrive ready for a change from traditional classrooms, drawn to the freedom of outdoor learning and the spirit of community. Others are builders, activists, or creatives who want to work with their hands, live close to nature, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
Whether they’ve dreamed of a semester away for years or stumbled upon TMS by chance, every student who comes here shares a belief in their own agency and a hope to discover new perspectives on how things could be. At The Mountain School, they find a supportive community that challenges them to grow: academically, personally, and as thoughtful citizens of the world.
